Feather Babies and Overcoming Fears

Well today has been a wonderful day.  We got to sleep in(which doesn't happen often around here), we had company over for the hubby and W's birthday celebration and we got the hens OUT of the front room and into the coop....thank goodness!!!

This is a busy time of year around our house, as i am sure it is around everyone elses as well, with the planting of gardens and the raising of critters along with the usual household runnings.  The meat kings went outside a few days ago and are adjusting well and the hens are enjoying the new (to them) coop.  I am really enjoying these chicks (which is surprising because I have a wretched fear of birds, I generally feel like screaming and running in the opposite direction)  and I am making a wholehearted effort to touch them on a regular basis and not jump when they touch me, I have even started feeding them out of my hand to show my kids that we don't need to be afraid of the chickens, mind you, the kids aren't scared at all.

Anyway all, I am going to have a bath and a cup of tea before turning in for the night.  Enjoy and have a wonderful evening!

Back at it .........again!!

Well i am back.....again!  Things have been a bit odd around here as of late and i am trying to get my bearings.  It has been a whirlwind of self pity, anger, doubt and remorse with a few dashes of happy.  I feel like i have lost myself over the years, just kept stuffing me down until i didn't know who i was anymore.  I want to feel present in my life again.  For me, my wonderful husband and my amazing children, I want to be present!!!

Back at it again!!!

So i guess i am back off of my blogging hiatus.  I am starting seeds as of now, i will most pics later.  Happy first of spring!!
